Phase 0

The Introductory Flight

  • Cost: $185 for flight time and instruction.
  • What You Bring: Birth Certificate & Photo ID (or Passport).
What You Get:
  • 1 hour of actual flight time
  • 1 hour of professional instruction
  • Student Flight Package and Pilot License application
  • Medical sign-up and TSA Endorsement
Phase 1

Foundations

Lessons 1-9

10 Ground Hrs
Core Skills:
  • Pre-flight/Post-flight operations and starting the aircraft.
  • Taxiing, normal takeoffs, and radio calls.
  • Traffic pattern operations and basic GPS usage.
Maneuvers:

Climbs, turns, descents, slow flight, stalls, and emergency procedures.

Phase 2

Finding Your Wings

Lessons 10-20

10.1 Solo Hrs
Major Milestone

Your First Solo Flight!

Advanced Skills:
  • Cross-country planning, pilotage, and dead reckoning.
  • Towered airport operations and Flight Following radio calls.
  • Night flying operations and simulated instrument flying.
  • Short-field and soft-field takeoffs and landings.

Requirement: Must pass the FAA Written Exam for solo cross-country flights.

Phase 3

The Polish

Lessons 20-30

40 Ground Hrs
Final Preparation:
  • Mastery of all flight operations and maneuvers.
  • Intensive Checkride prep and mock checkrides.
  • Review of FAA Oral Tested material and practical maneuvers.

Instructor's Role: Schedules your official Checkride and gives final endorsements.

The Checkride

40+ Flight Hrs
The Result:
  • Pass your FAA Checkride.
